Location: Made in Stirling, 44 King Street, Stirling, FK8 1AY

Cost: £385

Developing designs

You’ll start with an image from nature as inspiration. You will be encouraged to bring along your own images, but I will also provide a selection to choose from.  I’ll show you some techniques for translating key elements from the image into a mosaic design.

Using materials creatively

You’ll explore how to use materials in different ways and how to combine them to create different surfaces and textures within your work. A selection of materials will be provided, including slate, stone and glass, You are also encouraged to bring along any materials you are keen to include in your work.

Putting it all together

Once decisions about design and materials have been made, you’ll start working on your final piece. The plan is for you to have a completed mosaic artwork to take home with you. However, if you need extra time, you will be given sufficient materials to take away to allow you complete the work at home.
