Design and create a unique piece of mosaic art inspired by nature.
Develop a design
You’ll start with an image from nature as inspiration. You will be encouraged to bring along your own images, but I will also provide a selection to choose from. I’ll show you some techniques for translating key elements from the image into a mosaic design.
Use materials creatively
You’ll explore how to use materials in different ways and how to combine them to create different surfaces and textures within your work.
A selection of materials will be provided, including slate, stone and glass, You are also welcome to bring along any materials you are keen to include in your work.
Putting it all together
Once decisions about design and materials have been made, you’ll start working on your mosaic.
During the class you will create up to 3 mosaics using this process.
